Most recognized computer manufacturers
There are several major computer manufacturers. The most common manufacturers today are Dell, Gateway, Toshiba, Apple, HP, and Compaq. A substantial number of computers are assembled by smaller dealers and computer stores, using standard parts similar to those used by the major manufacturers.

What is an electronic failure
Electronic Failure is damage to the circuit board on the bottom of the hard drive. This board is basically the brains of the drive, and is where the computer interfaces to the hard drive. An electrical failure can occur at any time. Even brand new drives are not immune to having electrical failures. They can be caused by faulty components, improper installation (i.e. electro-static discharge grounding out the board), and excessive heat. To help prevent these failures, the system should be kept clean and well ventilated.
