What is a Zip disc?
A Zip disc is a removable disc used for storing information for a PC. It is only used in a Zip Drive and has a capacity of 100Mb as compared to a conventional floppy disc which has a capacity of just 1.44Mb.

What is a compat disc?
A compact disc is a standard for storage of digital data in machine-readable form, accessible with a laser-based reader. CDs are 4-3/4'' in diameter and are faster and more accurate than magnetic tape for data storage. Faster, because even though data is generally written on a CD contiguously within each track, the tracks are directly accessible, meaning the tracks can be accessed and played back in any order.
