What is portioning a hard drive?
When you partition a hard drive, you are isolating a portion of it for a particular file system or set of files. Each division of area is considered as another hard drive to the operating system.

What is a Jaz disk?
A Jaz disk is removable disk technology that was introduced by Iomega. It is capable of storing approximately one gigabyte of information on a single disk. The disk itself is a little over four inches square and about half an inch tall.
